Adding Bi-Xenon
You can swap out the headlight assemblies with no problem except the high cost but you may have to have 'Bi-Xenon present" turned on by the dealer's laptop. And you cannot add headlight leveling which is stock with OE Bi-Xenons. I did this with my '01 C320 which already had low beam only Xenons and therefore light leveling.
I bought the lights from Caliber Motors in Anaheim for about 1/2 local dealer retail and still paid about $1300.
The rear light swapout can be done (at a cost) but there is the question of whether the LED turn light bulbs will turn on the lamp out warning. Not taillights, turn lights. By the time you do these two things, you will have spent almost what P2 would have cost in the first place without the other equipment you get with it. Pity.

P2 is a factory option only, but as others have posted, it is possible to add virtually everything from P2 after the fact.
Just going to cost you....

I also ran into the problem where the technician claimed that the settings have more restrictions on the w204 ECU such that he couldn't change the HID settings to HID=Present.
He plugged in the Star Diagnostic Tool right in front of me and navigated through the various menus, and said that they didn't allow you to change the setting. He said that he had done it on previous models, but for some reason, he couldn't do it on my c300.
So, I had to get a capacitor harness to bypass the bulb out warning on my aftermarket HID kit.
I'm not sure if this technician was just dumb or something, but he did try to change the setting for a good 15 minutes with me watching over his shoulder, but was unable to do it.
Just some info. to pass along for those considering the upgrade.
