On page 176 of my manual it shows a cupholder insert for the centre console but my C280 Avantgarde did not come with one. Does anyone know if it should have?

Cupholders are only for those North Americans with their Big Gulps and 48 oz coffee cups (no kidding). I believe all of the ROW gets a cubby there with the roller cover.

I also believe that the front cup holders need to be purchased separately as accessories. Will see when I get my car in March.

You can purchase the center cupholder divider at the dealership for under $100.

When we picked up my wife's C200k in October 07 I noticed there was no cupholder insert for the centre console, I questions the sales person - where was it and the answer was it could be purchased as a separately accessories. My wife said you should have seen my face when I asked, I have just paid $80k for this car and I now have to pay for a bit of plastic to hold 2 drinks in place you must be kidding, this feature come in every car half the price, his reply was a stern yes you have to pay for it.

To date I have refuse to pay for it so we just push the roller cover up against the cup and wedge it in.
