Search the forum...there is a post on here by TXHurdle that clearly explains how to do it, even with the rolling code openers.
Mine worked fine the first time.

hold garage door opener controller about two inches away and press the button on the controller and on the mirror and the same time. hold them until the light startes flashing rapidly. now go to you garage door motor and there should be a 'learn' button on it. press that and go back to the car (within 30 secs) hold the same button on the mirror as when you did it with the remote. hold it for 2 long secs and let go. hold it for another two secs to confirm. you should be done. when u hold it for antoher 2 seconds, the garage door should open. i noticed you have to hold the mirror button for about 2 seconds before the garage door will open not just a quick press.
u have to hold the remote to the mirror for each button you code.
i just did this yesterday actually on an 'Overheaddoor Company' garage door.

Thanks for the info. Had a problem in our community with break-ins last year during a holiday weekend. Thieves broke into cars and hit the garage door openers to get into houses so we're hesitant to program the homelink if no key was required.

No problem, emps. At first it was awkward since my last car allowed the garage to be opened without the key even being near the ignition. Hearing of break ins, there is a comfort now in knowing that it works as it does.

TIP: Be sure to push the homelink button first, and THEN the garage door controller. You need the homelink to be able to catch the entire signal from the controller.
