Copy MP3 to 4gig partition MM system

I have a C300 and I love the car!. My only complaint is... the firmware on the media console does not allow you to copy your MP3 to the 4gig partition which pisses me off. The console has 30gig but they partition 26gig for the NAV system which is insane but on the remaining 4gig they only allow you to rip CD's directly and prevent you from copying MP3s which is so lame.

Does anyone know how to get to the backdoor/service menu or know how to transfer MP3's to the 4gig partition on HD?.

I have had no problem (apart from the appalling slow speed) with copying MP3 music from the PCMCIA slot to the hard disk (Music Register)

Keep looking and you'll find it.

The OP asked for help to on how to do this. Why don't you do everyone a favour and post how you were able to do it?

Since you asked so nicely ... Nope,

I think the (short) journey of discovery for the owner will do them some good.

Not a believer in spoon feeding.

Now if it was something trickey, I would happily post the details, but this is way too easy to do. Anyone could figure it out by playing with their toy for 60 seconds or less.

Has anyone else figured out a way to copy MP3 from PCMCIA to HD?
