If anyone beats me to it, definitely post pics. I probably wont get to it for a couple days as the weather isn't exactly joyous.

V1 Wiring
<<As soon as I get some free time, I'll be running mine. current plan is run along the headliner gap against the window down the A pillar and into the fuse panel on the drivers side (I havent explored the panel yet.. just assume its there and that the cigarette lighter runs to that panel). In there, I plan on just connecting the positive to the positive on the cigarette lighter fuse, ground to a ground.>>
Unfortunately, there is no driver's side fuse panel in US models because the (very few) fuses located there served equipment that we don't get here. If you have not looked at the fuse diagram, it's the folded paper next to the jack in the spare tire.
Just yesterday I found this because I planned to resume my V1's hard wiring. I had previously planned to tap into the glove box electrical plug until I found out that it's not switched off with the key. I had already fished the V1's power cable down inside the A post (popped the cover off) before I discovered the power problem so I just coiled it up and concealed it. Then replacing the right side kick panel and toe-panel I had removed.
I looked at the underhood fusebox also and it looks like accessing 12V there would be a huge task because the panel must be lifted. Which involves unscrewing the four torx screws at each corner (rear ones invisible) and then fishing a wire through the firewall hole.
The cigarette lighter wire is the next possibility since it feeds from the rear fuse panel in the trunk. If you look at the fuse serving it, you can see the color code and I plan to pull the carpets and cover panels in front of the RF seat again to search for it. If past MB practice applies to this car, there may be a plastic wire chase from up front, under both seats and into the trunk, somehow, through which a wire could be pulled.
BTW, when running wires down the A pillars, it's vital that they be run BEHIND the airbags for obvious reasons. That's why I pulled the a-post covers off.

this might be a little off topic, but i saw on ebay, someone was selling their services to have the V1 secondary display installed into their rearview mirror. it look flawless! they somehow were able to open up the rearview mirror, take out some of the reflective material and replace it with the V1 display. it made me drool!

RLE was mistaken on the 12V. The passenger side glovebox 12V outlet is switched, so its fine to use that. Should be a simple install.
So I got my V1 taken care of last night. I took the wire up through the roof on the passenger side to the door. Went down the door line. On the bottom of the glove box, there is a little insert part which u can see when you open the glove box. I can easily open and close the door without problems because it doesn't pinch the V1 wire. Plugged it into the cigarette lighter in the glove box and no hanging wires. Took me 20 min and it was free. I would have taken pics but my camera is getting fixed.

Fake/
<<I've got a w203 too and I'm trying to find a switched 12v for a fake alarm light. Can you help!>>
Since you already have a flashing red light on the dash when the key is off, I'm not sure why you ask the question, particularly when "switched 12V" means no power when the key is off, not on. If you are looking for a 12V source that's off when the key is off, I can help since I used that in my old C320.
