Thanks. So we can you any of three specs: 229.1, 229.3, or 229.5.

My dealer uses the M1 0w-40 229.5, so I will also.

Can't go far wrong if it is what your dealer is using. They don't make it easy though do they

At least part of my purchase deal with my MB dealership includes free oil and filter changes (using the M1) every 5k miles or every six months for as long as I own the car!
