Must be that Daylight running lights is enabled. It can be switched off under The Settings> Lights menu in the dash.

1. A new Linguatronic upgrade is on the cards for Australia in the near future - you will need to take the car in to the dealer to upgrade it using the diagnostic system.

2. Can anyone recommend an aftermarker installer to bypass the Video In Motion restriction and also to install a rear view camera? I am looking specifically for someone in the Gold Coast/Brisbane area?

sounds good if i can get my hand on my new ride, I call the dealer today to check the status of the car and ask for vehicle tracker id and passwd
but Marshall told me it doesn't work..
also i have pm u for the tinting place

Hi aleung49. I also purchased mine from Marshalls. I think the tracker id and password will be given out by MB Australia and not from Marshalls.

When you ordered the car from Marshalls, they should have printed out a summary of your order for the car. From there, you should have obtained an order number. Use that order number and rang up MB Australia. I think they are in Melbourne, did take a while before I can find the phone number. Tell them that you need to get the password so you can use the Vehicle Tracker on the web, MB Australia should then be able to give you the password. I ordered my car in early December, and I believe they have this system since Mid of Jan. Since early Feb, I have been able to track my progress of the car. I picked up my car mid March. So far, it is great. Worth the wait

I waited 4 months. Ordered early December 07, delivered 31/03/08. Was told by the sale executive that if you order a C220 CDI or C320 CDI now, the delivery date is in September or October.

The dealer where I purchased my car from can't stock any car at the moment because the demand is far more than supply especially for the CDI.

arr ... thanks for the info Alsocute & BenzRulez, I did recieve a stock number. on the contract but does not have a print out of the order. I will try calling MB Australia..with it. see if i can get something from them.

Last car i brought (Honda) the sales call me and provide me a vin No. this time I brought a merc and so far got nothing from them.

Also marshall ask me to put down 5K for deposit.. same for you guys?
I've ask about tinting...too , they said no need.. but i find it too light...
hmm since you guys already picked up ur ride..was the tint too light?

I found the new TINT inbed with the new C class (avantgarde) far better than the previous C class. I probably won't tint the new C class this time.

From the looks, the colour of the glass is kind of dark green bluish with colour inbuild.

IF So ... you save $300 for the tiniting

I have only saw it inside the show room, the sales person told me all the classes are UV protected and the TINT are embedded. But can't find any information anywhere regarding the UV protection it provided.

I am happy with my tint. It does look a bit light but as far as the heat and UV is concern. I think MB does a good job.

As far as the deposit is concern, The dealer did ask for 10% deposit, but I talked it down to $1000 with pre-trade in the old car. With high demand for the new C, $5000 seems reasonable. Did you manage to get any discount or any freebie?

I did not get my VIN until a week before delivery, my rego until the day of delivery. The MB sales only rang me twice in 4 months while I waited for the car to arrive in Australia.

Yes, I paid $5000 also for deposit. However, if I did go for the purchase with another dealer, they would only require $2000 as deposit. So I suppose it is a dealer practice on how much deposit is required to secure the order.

If you do have the Order number and password to access the Vehicle Tracker on the MB Australia website, once your car is built, then the VIN and Engine number will also be shown in the record. That website is so cool and informative that I would suggest you to try to obtain your order number and password from MB asap.

hey Rixter How about new W204 C 200 Kompressor (184HP) performance inside noise etc. and you also drove w203 c 200 K (163) what is the main difference,handling, noise etc.

I am using 05 C 180 Kompressor not bad but sometimes noisy is boring

Well we are quite far from germany .

The noise in C200K is not bad, has a nice howl on the upper rev, you are right though in lower rev it can get boring sometimes.
