After a 5 month wait, my new C300

Ordered in Aug to get exactly what I wanted. Not many metallic Red ones on the road. Have been lurking and learing here since then. After 5 months, I finally picked it up Tuesday.

I have to say that it has been worth the wait. For the rest of you waiting, your time will come. This is a great car!

I see you have your transmission on "S" mode
MB recomends to drive on "C" for the first 1500 miles

You are correct sir. That pic was taken just as I was taking a quick test drive from the dealership before I took possession. I wanted to show the 11 miles on the odometer. I noticed the mode right after the pic and changed it to "C". I plan to keep this car for 10+ years as I do with all my cars so I am being very carefull during the break in period. I am only up to 235 or so miles now so that will be a while still. Thanks for noticing!

I will be patient and give the car the break in period it deserves. I waited this long for the car, I can wait a little longer before it goes into sport mode and I get to romp on it. Definately looking forward to it....

Holy S#!t... 5 months! Wow, you have great patience! Too bad they drilled the front license plate bracket on.

Love the unique colour. Enjoy it in good health.

Even though Ohio requires a front license plate I told my dealer that if they installed a license place holder on the front they could keep the car!!!!

My ML has not had a plate and no one has ever bothered me.

Good call!

I ordered the 'no-holes' license plate from gominigo.com, just got here the other day but I still don't have my plates from the dealer yet. It attaches to the tow hook in the front bumper.

Congratulations on your new ride!

Do you know when your build date was? Was it a German or SA build? How long after the build date did you get the car?

The build day was 12 Dec 2007. Sat at the dock in SA for the longest time before it finally got on the ship to Baltimore.

I know it was a heck of a long time to wait but it is more than worth it. I would do it again if I had too. I love this car!

Thanks for the info. My C350 was built on 1/22 and I've been trying to get an idea of when to expect its arrival. Sounds like I should see it in late March. I can't wait. Don't know about waiting this long again though (I ordered 11/14). I guess I'll wait 'til I'm driving it to decide.

Just got an email from my dealer rep. ETA in Baltimore is 3/11.

Congrats to you both. It will be worth the wait.

BTW, I also ordered the no-holes drilled front license plate holder from GOMINIGO. You should consider same.
