Bike Rack?

I'm considering putting a roof rack on my C300 and wanted to know if anyone has installed one yet. Per MBUSA, the "Roof Rack Basic Carrier" is $294, plus another $165 per bike rack. Since my brother and I usually ride together, that's over 600 bucks to carry two bikes.

Any other suggestions? Thule, Yakima, etc? It appears that non-MB racks are not available yet but maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.

I bought the mb roof rack and it is great. Quality is good and its easy to use. It is made by Thule btw.

He has a Cayman. I've tried to talk him into installing a rack but he won't budge.

Thanks for the input - the factory rack is probably what I'll end up with.

I would like to nominate you to buy the rack and make a full report. - Seriously, I am not being sarcastic. This thread has come up several times and a full report would provide answers.
