Talking 'No Holes' License plate bracket installed

I finally recieved the gominigo stainless steel 'No Holes' license plate bracket kit and did a quick install to show you guys. I'm not leaving this on my car, its only for when i drive to LA or San Diego, so i didnt screw on the plates tightly. its a pretty quick install (10 minutes) and feels really solid and secure. check out the attached pictures.

Although it is a good idea, I don't like it.

I like things symmetrical and that looks really awkward to me...

-Edit-

Oh wait, I just realized it was for temporary use. In that case, it's fantastic.

Stupid law lol. Looks great but wouldnt want to keep that on for long use. Perfect for your situation... dam pigs.

VERY RANDOM SIDE NOTE... In the movie "No contry for old men" that device the killer uses (air tank with the small handle device) was used in slaughter houses to kill pigs fast and painless... I thought it was an awsome device so i was gunna try and get one to just play with but PETA outlawed them or something and you can only get them in the UK... Ok sorry i just thought it was cool and that movie is CRAZY! if you havent seen it go tonight!.

i got a ticket once before in San Diego for not having the front plate on. its such a pain in the *** to drive down to the police station and pay some cop to "inspect" the car for the front plate. ive also heard that cops in LA were jerks about it so to save me some hassle down the line ive decided to invest in this bracket that way i dont have anything permanent on the car. i leave it in the trunk incase some cop pulls me over without it on, then i can make an excuse that im heading to the dealership to have it installed.

I got a nice big fat ticket for not only not running a WA state front plate but for having a foreign plate there instead. The cop went out of his way to pull me over too. I think he saw me laugh when he almost dumped his big fat Hardly-Albeson when making a left turn in front of me. Must have been a noob on two wheels.

The kit is an interesting item for temp use.

GOMINIGO asks me for the codes off the W204 tow hook bolt. Do you have that info?

Btw..

how did you remove that small, rectangular panel that covers the tow hook? Can you just use a flathead screwdriver to pry it open?

the link is http://www.gominigo.com/NHLPB-MB.html not sure if it will work with the e55. there are different lengths the bolt needs to be to fit. i would try emailing the website. they are very helpful

you press down on the symbol at the bottom of the cover with your finger. take your time so you wont break anything, but it comes off easily. i wouldnt pry it open in case it scratches up the paint.

I got a ticket while I was driving my VW GTI a few months ago, and it is hassle.

Hi all!

Too bad you cannot drill a socket-sized hole in the plate that lines up with the main bolt. That would make the install REALLY fast for those temporary trips. Unfortunately, it would have to be about one inch in diameter as that bolt has a 19mm head. The auhtorities just might notice that imperfection in your plate.

maybe you could cut out the hole and glue it to the bolt head so it would cover up the hole to a certain extent.

see attached photoshop to see what i mean.

Not knowing exactly how this is installed, I'll make what I hope is not a dumb suggestion. Here goes...Maybe it could be modified to where you are able to twist the entire plate and the unit comes out in one piece from the screw-in mount inside the bumper?

Regardless, I think it is a great idea. I can't wait to get mine.
