Wow, much lower than anticipated. That puts it in direct competition with the standard E class. Selling many E's nowadays TxHurdle?

it is indeed lower than all the numbers that have been throwing around, including those from the dealers.

not knowing the details of options (anyone?), 20k premium is still high and puts a majority of c-class buyer out of reach.

That's about 10K difference on the MSRP for my W204. Works out to about an extra $175 per month on my payment. Definately within reason.

Business is well up here MBTex, enjoying your C350? I must say though, that the C63 pricing will be a strong draw vs the CLS550 I was considering next. I'm happy to see the electronic advancements we're taking on our future models, and it might come down to the fact that after driving my C350 for a while I might just be in the mood for something different, even though it is priced so attractively.

you are basing the fact that you don't need extra options (no details on what that is for the c63) so take your w204, c350 for $36k base, that's the 20k difference right there. Obviously, you did not just purchase a base car!

EDIT: Found this on the c63 forum. So looks like similar packaging as the w204, so just did a P2 and MM for c350 MSRP: $43k (4300 on the options)
c63 MSRP (P2, MM): $59k.

16k difference...

I am enjoying it very much. Once it finally arrived the dealer was very easy to work with and we had a deal in about 5 minutes (the fact that I wasn't too greedy on the price probably didn't hurt).

Anyway, they could have sold the car at MSRP, but I told them that this could be the first of many MB's for me if I like it. So far so good, I will buy from my sales rep again the next time I'm in the MB market.

I'm not sold on the CLS, seems to drive like a big boat. When I was younger I wanted a CLK, but I think the soon to come kiddo's have me thinking sedan nowadays and the wife thinking SUV. So it's C, E or S for me and ML, GL, G for her.

Of course, the C350 could fall apart on me in the next year at which point it is back to the Acura or the Infiniti.

Thanks. It'll either be C AMG or the new E depending on the E redesign.

Pictures of the new E look amazing! If your considering an E it would pay to wait for the redesign.

I'm in no rush. Enjoying my new C350.

I'll probably be in the market again in MY2011...a year or 2 after the release.

EDIT: I just checked out a pic of the new E and it does look very nice. Gotto say I think I'm leaning that way as of now, I don't really care about having an AMG and would rather have the larger sedan. We'll see in a few years though.
