You beat me to it. Serious I'm glad you are OK the car can be fixed or replaced but it isn't so easy with people. When I was only 17 (God 31 years ago) My car was hit by a DUI and was pushed 15 feet side ways my girlfriend at that time wasn't wearing a belt (not required yet in NY) she broke her neck and spent 8 1/2 months in the hospital.

Is it common for those types of repairs to take so long?
Could you imagine a lease? You'd have paid for 4 months you didn't use the car.

that was 8700 job? Was this MB owned body shop because wow, that is pricey. Did the shop replace the rear panel or just bang them out to its orignal shape?
Either way, glad shes back and you weren't hurt
