Flat Black C300?

The last image has a really cheap job done on it.
As you can see it can make any car look elite. Now my question is would would be wrong with this on a C300? I would still get the 20"x4.5" EXE rims crome dipped. Is there anything wrong with going from black to Flat black?
Any comments/suggestions would be good.-Mike
Called another shop... told me $600, I could really use some insight

personally I wouldnt do it and even so, certainly not for $600, I'm sure you will be repainting it again after a salty winter (not sure your location, but i'm in NE)
A quailty paint job will cost alot (not sure about 10k tho) but it will never be as good as the original.
edit: as good as the protection and durability of the original that is....

BUT theres such a fine line where it looks good. for example it looks amazing on a ferrari or supercar but looks like dog**** on a durango or pickup like the one pictured. i wonder if the c300 is luxurious enough to bridge that gap where it looks awesome on supercars but crappy on every-day-mobiles.
on price i'm not completely shocked by 10k but it certainly is on the high side. i would expect to pay no less than 4k at the absolute bare minimum. $600 must have been some sort of joke and/or death wish.
wheels (not chrome), suspension, brakes, bodykit, exhaust, etc.
those diamond cut wheels in the link would go good on flat black...but do you have the luxury or sport bodykit?

Sounds like a cheapo Maaco paint job to me (like the truck photo) -- poor paint prepping, poor masking, over spray, poor quality paint, a quickie job.
I've read that flat paint is the newest automotive paint trend that will make it to production cars in the next few years. I believe the color is the key for a nice look as you don't want it to look like paint primer and look like a quality sophisticated job, like shown on those CLS and SLR photos (looks like a very dark flat metallic or pearl bronze color).
