AC question?

Ligth ON -> AC ON?
Ligth OFF -> AC OFF?

Is this rigth?

I'm having problems with my AC unit, it only makes cold! In order to produce hot air I have to put it in very high temp like 24-26ºC!!
In my other cars only at 20C and its fine!

At MB they also sayed that its not normal, and tested with other car and mine its not good!
Tested tested tested (I'm sick of testing and leaving the car there) and no solution till now!!!

Any one with this problem!?

Depends which light you are referring to.

Light on/off on the "Auto" button simply means that the auto climate control is on/off. If you turn off the auto cc it will revert back to manual, which are the buttons in between the temp buttons. So, to turn off the AC you will need to make sure the light on the "Off" button is ON and the Auto button is OFF.

I was referring to the AC button on the climate control unit.

OK, then that needs to be off as you said. Thought I had the solution for you, but no luck.

Alternate approach:

35 mile route, mostly freeway, 1 or 2 congestion points.

Light on (Auto and AC) gives about 26.9 mpg on the trip computer

Light off (Auto on, AC off) gives about 28.4 mpg on the trip computer

I'd say that AC off stops the compressor and gives you back some mpg. This is with the 7-spd, and speeds running from zero to 73 mph or so.
