Better pic's of my black grill with no chrome

The rims are not hard to find, just search the net.
The main question here is how did you cut all the vinyl to cover the grill?
What steps did you take? What was the difficultly level?

Stickering up the grill to cover the chrome is easy. Just ensure the grill is nice and clean and dry. Cut lengths a little longer and a bit wider than each fin. There's plenty of room to get your fingers inbetween each fin. start at the back towards the engine. You will need to slip the knife in to allow the vinyl either side of the vertical supports. slowly press and smooth vinyl ensuring there are no air bubbles. Press in along the groove where the chrome would be, smooth round and under and trim off excess. Make sure the knife is really sharp. Some og the curved bits are a bit tricker but id you take your time it should be OK. I bought a meter of this stuff for £5 or about €8 or $10 so if you make a mess with a piece just discard it and try again. If you could get a carbon fibre weave pattern it might look good - I just went for gloss black. This was my 1st attempt and I suprised myself how well it turned out.
The wheels I got here locally in Northern Ireland but I suspect they're available elsewhere - I've even seen them on e-bay.
Thanks to those who left complimentry comments.

Sweet rims
Well, you deserve those compliments...nice lookin' ride
I love the grille, i had to do a 'double read' when you said it was not painted! definitely a good idea...i can't trust myself painting anything.
As for the rims...WOW!!!!
Enjoy your ride.

Thanks for the reply old lefty I'll give it a shot!
IMO I think black cars can get away with de-chroming the wings. (make it look more aggressive)
I own a Pal.Silver and I tried photoshopping the car. it looks better leaving the chrome and blackout the brushed silver. or getting the Luxury grille and blacking it out or carbon fiber vinyl.

Lefty...your car looks great! I have a question about the rims though.....all of the replica rims I've seen have too low of an offset for the C300. The rims I am talking about are these:

Could you post the offset on your rims please? if These rims do work I'll buy a set tomorrow. Thanks again

C220CDI
No, the 3 series diesels are not quieter! I currently drive one, and it is very noticeable especially at idle in enclosed areas like car parks. I drove the C220CDI and the difference is enormous. Even my wife agrees (she gives me hell about my diesel noice!). I drove the C320CDI also and the noic=se is about the same as 220. So I've ordered a C220 CDI to replace the BMW 320d.

are you running different offsets on the wheels between front and back?

Yeah, can you tell us the offset of the rims?
They sell the rims here in The Netherlands, but only with offset 35, anyone know if this will look nice and fit?
About the grill:
Looks nice , i was planning to do the same thing, i have some vinyl left when i made my mirror covers...

i agree with some previous replies, that those particular rims are hard to source, the "replicas" are for W203 but I am also having trouble finding a proper rim (offset) to fit W204 directly.
