Fog lamp hids w/p2

I want to add hid's to my fog lamps, but im scare the balast/ or bulb will burn out with the constant shutting of and turning back on every time you use your turn signals. Anyone have experience with this?

Once you have HID fogs, it is recommended that you turn your fogs every time your headlights are on.

i probably didnt phrase it right.... when you have your headlights and fog lamps on, and are doing city driving with a p2 package, when you turn your turn signal left and begin to turn left, your right fog light shuts off.

yeah the constant firing of the HID lamps will shorten the life of them.

I think im going to throw some LED H11's down there. That should solve the problem of blowing the bulb/ballast.

Since MB uses an electronic signal (computer / software monitored) within their lighting system to determine if a bulb or circuit goes out, you may run into problems running certain LED type lamps on late model MB's. Another "problem" some have reported with the use of LED lighting on such a system is that they seem to glow slightly even when off. This is due to the electronic signal (current) within the MB lighting circuit and the LED's sensitive nature to voltage. The minimal voltage that lingers within the circuit (when off) is not enough to power the OEM bulbs, but it may just be enough to dimly turn on an LED. Not all LED's will be effected by this, but most are. Nevertheless, give it a shot and please report back. I'm curious myself as to the results...

all of the LED fog light bulbs i've found are only for show. They do not throw off nearly enough light to actually illuminate the road in front.

If you look at the w204 fogs, the bulb itself is really close to the lens. HID bulbs are longer than the stock bulbs, did you run into and clearance issues?

Where did you get the LEDs for the front lights? I'm trying to locate a pair of white ones for the front headlights and rear license plate lamps.
