Eyelids & Low Beam Bulbs

Has anyone upgraded the bulbs in the eyelids? Bulb specs? Any photos?

I upgraded the P1 low beams to Luminics Krypton Titanium White H7's. They look good, much better than stock but far from HID. I will post photos in the next few days.

I used the Polarg M-4 bulbs which is bulb type 194. You can find these bulbs in ebay.

It's not that difficult to change it. You just have to pop the hood and find the bulb holders which are located behind the headlamps and twist them open. Once you've done this, you can retrieve the bulbs and change them.

Changed to white? What color are the stock bulbs?? The pics in your sig looks like they have a blue tint to them. The bulbs you referenced even have a blue coating on them.

Are they brighter than the stock bulbs? Any light warning reported by the car?

The color do match a little but not as white as my headlights. Btw, i changed my bulbs to 6000K

The stock HID is 4300K. I planned to get the Hoen LEDs but they are out of stock right now. I think someone did try to use LEDs and they wouldn't turn off even after they turn off the engine.

The Hoen LED bulbs, or any LED bulbs for that matter will not work as they require such a very low electrical draw that they will remain on no matter what. I have tried a variety of LED wedge bulbs but with no sucess.

These Polarg will work because they are incandescent just like the stock bulbs. I don't think the light from stock bulbs look yellow, though far from the xenons headlights, as they have a bluish coating on them. The Polarg may be whiter because it has a more intense blue coating on it.

I'll get it a try.

I ordered the Polarg bulbs today. I'll post pics when they arrive. I also ordered silver coated turn signal bulbs from ebay....the fried egg look is killing me!

It would be nice if aftermarket can come up with LED clear eyelids just like the one on A5 or facelift 5 series.

Yes, the list is accurate. The signal lamp uses the 3857A bulb type

Installed my Hoen "city lights" today. I did one side first to see the difference but they looked the same to me.......

Hopefully it was bc it was daytime.

I may buy these if I can find them cheaper............

Hey i ordered the polarg's that you suggested however i was wondering how many of these bulbs should i get ? I checked the sockets for the eyelids and noticed that theres 2 sockets on each side so im thinking i need a total of 4 bulbs to do both sides ?? TIA
