Debadging (part 8) ... lol

i know this topic has been discussed thoroughly, but i just debadged my c300 4matic and i love how clean it looks. My dad on the other hand owns a 07' E350 and he is entirely against it saying that it takes away from the car commenting "why didn't you just buy a hyundai and debadge that". I gave him a pass on that because he doesn't know all that much about cars. I think that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and i don't really care about the fact that i have to show that its a mercedes with some numbers and letters (4matic). I'm just wondering what everyone's take on debadging is and if it takes away from the value of the car in your opinion.

2008 C300 Sport 4matic
I personally think it is a much cleaner and sleeker look. Who needs all these badges and labels? I think it is needless advertising. I haven't taken off my C300 4matic badges yet as it is still a rarity in the city where I live (but I will remove it eventually), but as soon as I took delivery I took off the tacky dealer badge.

Also it is much easier to clean and wax if the badges were off.
I am a total believer in less is more, and I am horrified by cars with too much or aftermarket poser badging. Why do you need to let people know what you have or don't have?

dealer badges are a terrible thing but i like the regular badges. if i had a w203 amg i would debadge it though, confuse people when they think its just a regular c. cant do that with the w204, too many bumps and fins give it away, not a bad thing though.

how easy is it to debadge? when i debadged my integra, there were holes where the badges were, so i had to cover them. are there any holes behind the "C3x0" badge? does it come off cleanly or are there going to be some scratch marks or anything left behind?
