i agree it all depends on the driver. i have no experience with these seats since i have not test drove or sat in one. the only time i sat in it was at the dealers and that was for all of 2 minutes. i know its crazy not test drive it but i bought the car based on looks.

I can identify with that.... it's a great way to discover inner peace.... until someone discovers you there!!!

Doesn't sound like you test drove a w204 yet and that's the problem. I am 5'10" and with the seats set all the way low, my hair will hit the top of the car. I don't think you would find the w204 comfortable if you are 5 inches taller than I am.
You are either all torso or you have really big hair . I'm 5'11" and I clear the roof with plenty of room.

At 5' 9", my torso is much longer than most. With the seat all the way down, I sometimes (early morning) scrape the sunroof in the W204. But I can live with that. In my previous cars, when I'd sit up straight, my head would poke out the top of the sunroof ;-)

The problem with the seat all the way down (lowered) is that there's not enough room to tuck my left foot up by the seat. The seat is too close to the floor. I'm learning to adjust, but slowly.

Not my only complaint about the car, but maybe the most serious. It's a great car!

I was always comfortable in my 3 series, and took for granted that I would always be comfortable in any car I owned ... until I got the C. It's like a torture device.

I can be comfortable for about 10-15min ... the length of a test drive ... but after that my hips start to hurt no matter how I position the seat. Someone else pointed out that they thought it was due to the lack of bolstering and the hard seat cushion.

All I know is they'll get this car back with very few miles on it. I can't stand to be in it for more than daily commute.

Not happy with the C class's seat, been a owner from W203 to W204. They have not improve the comfort level of the seat from what i felt.

I guess if you like ur C class and want a comfort seat, maybe upgrade the front seats. The back seats are good on the other hand.

Been seating in CLK and CLS, their seat are far more comfortable than C class, guess it is due to the thickness of the seat /padding of the bucket seat. You get what u pay for ... i guess
