new W204 with full detailing ?

Not sure if it is necessary to have a full detail for the brand new W204 (few weeks after pick up the car from dealer) ?

i.e. true professional detailing including (wash, clay, polish, mild polish, seal and/or wax)

I do aware the car comes with a NANO paint which is like a coat of ceramic protection.

The goal is try to make the car easier to maintain.

i have been told that you should NOT clay bar the car until at least six months after you take delivery because the paint has likely not cured adequately and might come off.

can anyone confirm?

^

I've read/heard that the 6-month curing process is no longer necessary with newer paints that come fully cured from the factory.

thanks for the infor.

I will try to avoid the clay if possible, the car is brand new .. so i guess it should be pretty clean or easier to remove the dirt.

I guess I will get a good seal and wax to prolong the appearance of the paint

What in the hell? Claybar removes contaminants and debris. Your new paint job doesn't have this. You don't need to do anything other than a mild wash for at LEAST the first 6 months. I wouldnt even wax it for 6

+1 maybe wax earlier, though, just for fun?

Actually if you go to a detailing site, they start in on all the steps immediately. ha-ha.

Personally, I skip the claying at first cause I don't like that part, but I go ahead and use polish, a couple waxes, etc. It looks and feels so much better afterwards.
