Staggered Wheels

Since our 08 C-300 are staggered fit, will the tires wear out evenly because we can't rotate them?

just bring your car to the dealer before you hit 6000 miles and they will rotate your tires free one time.

you can rotate side to side if your tires are not directional. If they are directional, your treads will be facing the wrong way. If you wanna rotate directional tires, you have to unmount them from the wheel & flip them onto the other side.

I know, but I was hoping the 2nd poster didn't think they could be done from front to back.

Most OEM manufacturers will offer one way for their tires to be rotated . . .IE staggered wheels will be a non directional tire this way they can be rotated left to right, where even tires commonly have directional tires so you can rotate front to rear.

I think they stick more with non directional tires so that the common people don't rotate incorrectly.

Rotating side to side can help tire life since the tire is now rotating the other direction. Different portions of the tread blocks are now the leading / trailing edge along with some people that run a common commute the tires will now experience forces that the other tire would.

Does MB actually recommend you rotate the staggered tires? They always told me it can't be done on this car (of course I know you could go side to side), but didn't know if was something people actually did?

Yes, the rear tires will wear much more quickly that the front ones.

They do not rotate the staggered fit tires. If you read- they exclude the Sport model due to staggered fit. The dealership told me to bring the car in for a tire "inspection"
