Hello,
When I was driving (5 minutes driving) today, I noticed that my "Engine Malfunction indicator lamp" was on!??@!![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
I called my local dealer, and they said bring it in next morning.
Have any of you had this kinda situation? What should I do??
I have 10085 on my car. Just over 10000 miles last week...
Thanks!
Eric

I also had my Engine Malfunction indicator lamp on, but it was when my car came from the dealer. I brought my car to the dealer and found out that the problem was caused of bad fuel from the dealer. They pumped all the bad fuel out and the light never come out since.

Check engine light

Check the gas cap to sure it's tight. Check the oil filler cap for the same. Be sure the dipstick is all the way in.
Any of these will turn on the check engine light.
Calm down.
