Passcode Reset for Bluetooth
I recently broke my phone and had to get a new one... Previously, my phone was paired up with Bluetooth and working fine, now my new one won't connect.
I go to the Update device list in COMAND and it goes through the scan, and no option ever comes up in COMAND to enter a new passcode nor does it show my new phone.... My phone, however, is prompted with a message that says "enter MB bluetooth passcode" - But I don't know what I made the passcode when I set up the original phone last fall.
I then tried the sytem reset through COMAND, which didn't work. I also tried disconnecting the battery, which didn't work. Is there any way to reset this code or is there a default one from the factory?
Thanks

depending on your phone, you may have to do external authorization instead of the traditional pairing.
what kind of phone?

Try entering any type of 4 digit passcode into your phone then you should be prompted by Command whether you wish to pair and to enter the passcode. At this point enter the passcode you entered into the phone.

It is a Blackberry Curve 8320
The phone is prompted by MB Bluetooth to enter the code, as soon as I enter any code into the phone, COMAND says invalid device or something. At no point does COMAND let me enter a password.

with the new C-class, you can enter ANY 4 digit combination...just make sure the combination matches both on the phone and the command unit...just for reference, we always use 0000.
make sure to have the car in external authorization mode, then on your curve add new device, the curve should find the MBphonesystem, then prompt you to pair...after the prompt you should be able to enter the 4-digit code (whatever code you choose), then enter it again on the command and pairing should be complete.
the "62872" code should be used with the bluetooth puck only.
