To those with MM package...

Here's my Q -- In my current (06) C-class, I often go into "SERV" and hit "display off" to drive without the display on as well, I quite simply don't need it a lot of the time while just listening to radio, etc...

My question to you is: Can you make use of Satellite radio and whatnot without turning on the display, or must you turn on/open the pop-up display first, and then tell it to go away while still listening? Or, one step further -- can you close the display at all while the radio is still on?

Thanks! I appreciate your help...

- Eric

you turn on/open the pop-up display first, then you can close the display if you want and still listen your music.

On my system once you close the screen manually the next time you want it to open you have to press the button on top of cover then it will revert back to auto opening when you switch ignition on. The radio/cd continues to work with the screen folded away.

Hope that's what you were lookin for

Fantastic! Thank you!

PS - How does the HK Audio sound? Is there more bass than in the HK of the 2006-2007 models? ...because mine is seriously lacking in bass compared to the stock headunit... and through research and trying different vehicles, I've determined it wasn't the HK sound that lacked bass, but the COMAND nav headunit powering it as apposed to the stock head unit...

OR..you can push the COMAND button at your fingertips and the screen will open back up. You can use the steering wheel controls to change stations if you want it closed.

I have the HK and I love it. I have the subs and amp from my last car and was going to add it but dont think the trunkspace is worth sacrificing, because the HK sounds so good. Just my .02

+1

The HK in this car is probably the best factory premium sound system that I have at least heard.

4 wheels
Same quality speakers and decoding unit as the S/CL. This is the best system Mercedes has had in years. To bad its no Mark Levinson though.
