new chip!! 0-60 5.4 seconds!
#26
I spoke to my contact at one of montreals best car tuning shops.
he told me that thers a new chip for the c350 coming in that will enhance the throttle response when you 'step on it'
he said instead of 0-60 in 6.0 , it will bring the c350 to 5.4 seconds and you can really feel the difference.
the chip is 440$ installed and does not void warranty or mess anything up.
I will get it on my car in about 2 weeks and let you guys know if i feel a difference.
I will put my car on the dyno before having it installed and then once more after the chip is installed
anyway, just letting you guys know

Give us brand names, pictures of the product, air fuel ratio's along the rev range. Graphs and diagrams man, Visual aids and words to google. Stop being vague since that takes away your credibility.
And you need to keep us updated with truth.

Nissan GTR, Dinan 335i, C350
The 335i does 0-60 in 4.8 stock, 4.2 with a 80 hp dinan upgrade. Neither the C350 nor IS350 come close. But then again we aren't talking race cars here. It's very hard to chip a non-turbo engine and bump up any significant horsepower without some major hardware modifications.

2008 Arctic White C300 Sport 6M
a < $500 mod that takes 1 second off the 0-60 MPH times on an NA car...................?
That's pretty much the best deal ever. Not saying anyone's lying or anything, but I'd very much like to see this installed and in action. If it works, I want the C300 version.

MY dealer told me only they will alow the amg to be chip but from an authorized place only of rentech but other dealers probably wouldnt let you. BUt as for any non amg model no way it will not warrent you on any repair if needed. So i have no clue now how people say a chip will not void your warrenty

By law, a dealer must prove that your modification caused the damage/item in question to break in order to void warranty on that part. Not just a chip but anything after market on your car. If you put a after market suspension on your car and you're at the dealer for a broken radio, they can't void your warranty on the car just because you have after market suspension components. It doesn't make sense. But if you were going in and saying it's making a clunking noise over bumps, they they would have more of a argument and voiding your suspension components warranty.
Same for a ECU flash or chip. If you have that and you're in for repairing a window regulator, same rule applies. If they can prove that your ECU flash or chip damaged the window regulator, then they can deny warranty claim (highly doubt that). If you're in for a warranty repair and they can pinpoint the ECU flash or chip as the root cause, then they can void the warranty on that component and only that component.

You are flat wrong. They do not have to PROVE anything. they simply have to rest assured that you will have no case. If so, you get the 8ball.
LOL!! Okay, I'll even tell you how aftermarket suspensions can ruin stereos. VIBRATION. The suspension was out of spec and MBUSA has no data on the reliability of the radio when the suspension of the car is out of specification. We found that the vibrations may have contributed to the faulty radio. GO AWAY!!

GLC250 Coupe
lol.. i have one on order for the C180 CGI to increase HP and torque by approx 23%.
When it gets here and i've played with it, i'll post up some pictures and comment on how it feels..
My main purpose is to get a little more kick out of the car as i dread the sometimes unpredictable turbo lag... and since the C250 & E250 uses the same capacity engine as the C180, I'm sure the engine can handle the extra little stress..
