Sylvania Silvertars VS. Luminics Titanium (PHOTOS)
I installed Sylvania Silverstars about a month ago and didn't think they were all that white. After reading a post about Luminics Titaniums, I purchased some of those. I just did the install and took some photos. The Luminics ARE WHITER and slightly brighter as these photos show. I was going to put the Sylvania Silverstars in the high beam slots...but those looked like a terrible pain in the a$$ to remove. So...I guess I wasted $50 on those Silverstars! They look really nice sitting in the box on top of the fridge in my garage!
In the photos...the whiter of the two similar photos are the Luminics Titanium H7 bulbs. (If you mouse over the thumbnails the SS and LT are in the filenames) I ordered them from the place that was in this post: https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...light=luminics
They arrived in two days and were only like $42 with shipping.
Now for the pix....

They are the same bulbs as in the pic two posts above. Luminic Titanium H7. I will be taking the Silverstars back to the store since I have only had them for 3 weeks now. I believe the Luminics have a rating of 500 hours...which is more then enough for me. The WHITENESS is so much nicer than the Silverstars (which were the ULTRA by the way), and there isn't any more "dip" in the right side.
They ship by airmail....I got mine in two days!!

I think I'm gonna go with the krypton line of luminics. They say they are 30% brighter/whiter, and 30% fatter glass bulbs, might as well right??? I'm gonna order them on Monday, I'll let u know when I get them in!

MBWorld Fanatic!
I'm also a strong believer in the Luminics Titanium bulbs.
I bought them for the supplementary high beam bulbs and they match extremely well next to the bixenons -- both on the headlights almost look like they came from the same light source.

heh...find my post two above this...for that answer!
my question is...how do you UNDO the high beam bulbs? They are definately different than the low beam....and the one on the left is HARD to even GET to!!!

Footnote:
Today was the first day driving to work in the dark, and the first chance I got to see the Luminics in action. I love the WHITENESS, but to be honest, they are slightly less bright than the Silverstar ULTRAs. It wasn't too terribly different, but it WAS noticeable. Driving to work, the beam didn't seem to project out as far as the Silverstar ULTRAs. Oh well, I like them well enough to keep them, and if I need extra light...the foglights work very well....oh..and there is always the high beam switch for those back roads!
