this should be interesting to see. i was playing around on the state farm insurance site and noticed that americans seem to be paying quite a bit for limited coverage. I am sure there are deals from different insurers since there are multiple companies competing for your business.
Thanks in advance for the info.

Her insurance went down when I switched from a 2002 BMW 320i. I think the difference was large enough for me to add $50 first accident excused to our coverage.
BTW, She has had safe driving certification course. . I went with Bell Air direct. They seem to be the cheapest. I have switched many of my relatives to these guys and they seem to love the young crowd.

$532 - 6 month policy from statefarm, they dont offer a yearly policy here, 6mo max is the longest they go.
-250 deductable
-rental car
-medical
-uninsured motorist collision
basicly everything statefarm has to offer. I also have a multi-car discount thru them so that's why its cheap! On a monthly break down its about $88! I guess I could get rid of the rental car coverage and make it cheaper too!

. Really high even though I have a clean driving record. I guess I just need more time on the road. I still feel as though they should give young drivers who exhibit years of good driving a break. But there are a lot of retards out there who make it bad for the rest of us.

Looks like i was wrong for the most part insurance is cheaper in the states. Is it me or is British Columbia the only place where we get raped on coverage?
mromar - your coverage seems very reasonable since you ive in Canada. But i know that coverage in Ontario is not provided by just one provider. Have you ever had any issues claiming? And in order for you to get that pricing did you have to raise your deductible?
Actually no. But I know exactly what you mean. I started taking quote and making a spreadsheet about 5 months ago. The quotes I got back from companies for a 2003 Honda CRV and a BMW 320i E46 were as high as $5600/year. THEN I ran into Belairdirect. I pay $1900/year for 2 car's and this includes my town house interior and property insurance insrance ($156/year).
Deductibles are all standard and I solicited everyone provider with the same information. It seems that direct providers like Belairdirect really pass the savings on to US the consumer for not having a middle man (broker = leech) in there.
Knock on wood. we have not had a claim ever (Have been in Canada for 5 years - Was in Michigan before this). Infact after my insurance went down from switching to a Merc (BMW 320i was the last vehicle on this policy) . We called in to add the $50/year First accident forgivness as well.
i pay 2k a year with a 43/44% discount. and still seem to pay at least 500-700 more than most of you.

That is nuts! you dont need that much 2M is more than enough. If you reduce it i think that will help with your monthly.
