I live in Vancouver, there is some snow. I travel between the island and mainland quite a bit. 09 RWD have paddle shifters , and 4matic don't. Do you think I should get 4matic or paddle shifter RWD? I heard paddle shifter is fun as well my brother have an A3 which make me envy him a bit for the DSG Paddle shifter
Thanks for the help

i would go for the 4matic, paddle shifter is a novelty and few months into it you wouldn't even notice its there..... besides, if you are into winter sports, you can take ur 4matic to whistler but not the 350rwd...

i would be driving a c63, but its RWD and i would die in the winter

I'm also in Vancouver...go 4matic..trust me on this one...
scenario: this past feb there was crazy snow for like 2 days...the driveway at my place was steep enough that NONE of the RWD cars could go up...then a C350 4matic drove by and went up effortlessly, just that scene alone made me go for the 4matic...
its unfortunate that there aren't paddle shifters, but as the previous guys said, it IS a novelty...I drive with one hand anyways so it doesn't really matter...lol

C350 4Matic
AWD is gooood.
I used to have a Saab 92x, ya it was really a WRX. I loved it and I cant drive anything but AWD now. I live in Vancouver too, we dont get a lot of snow but I can tell ya we get alot of rain and your 4matic will just rip everywere.
Also on those wind road's to and from the island and Whistler, you will be glad you went with the 4Matic.
I orderd a C350 4matic, so you know how i'll vote.
Good luck!

Just get some real SNOW TIRES for the winter. It will perform fine. Thats what I used to do when I went to school at UMICH Ann Arbor. Some real Snow tires are all you need.

lol so true. I've never used snow tires before and never will. Good all season tires should do fine here, and all seasons with AWD will feel like driving in normal conditions. I think the whole snow tires thing is for places that get snow for 2-3 months straight when here in Vancouver we get 2-3 days then a month of nothing then another 2-3 days, lol.

I also agree, REAL snow tires does make a difference, however unless you plan on having two sets of wheels and change them out everytime the weather changes...o/w I think it is more logical to have 4matic WITH nice all season tires...the weather here is way too unpredictable...

Why are you blasting a OC member who probably has never driven on more than a dusting of snow; if that? J/K
