Bone head mistake ...i need some advice.

87 octane won't kill your car; it will only decrease the efficiency and power of your car, temporarily. But I do wonder: how clean is the inside of your lawnmower's gas tank? As clean as that of your car?
ACK!But as QQQ said, it's useless worrying about things you cannot change.
Thanks Great Advises.
In any case, don't worry about it too much. Whatever happened happened, and your car is in almost all likelihood totally fine. No permanent damage, probably. So stop worrying about it, and just never do this again.
