I agree, the Accord looks more like a BMW 5-Series. Don't see the similarities to the W204.

Oh come on, it definitely looks a lot like the W204 when it's on the road - especially from the side. But don't get me wrong, the C class looks a HELL of a lot nicer than the accord.

my point exactly.

i think its the side line that really makes them look alike. I had a new accord driving next to me in steel gray..like my color..and it was similar....not the same obviously..but i see how the japanese steal ideas from the innovative companies..(i.e. German)

Take a look at the 2009 TSX. Kind of a mini-Accord, and much like the C.

I think all these guys sit around at the same pub and dream up their designs together ......

i dont see it, besides it has 4 doors and wheels, they dont look the same. maybe with the 5 series like everyone else is saying. the C looks like the S with a luxury grill instead of the star.

Not really. Apart from the fact that generally car design goes through a 10 y r +- cycle - you can tell a 40's from a 50's from a 70's etc. Guess the designers talk to each other and of course sometimes change companies.

Lookalikes
<<anyone notice this?>>

I guess the manufacturers are running out of body shapes. No matter how they modify the lumps, bumps, strakes and light shapes, there will inevitably be some similarities.

Another reason why my C300 is not Honda/Acura/Toyota/whatever else SILVER.

I want to be able to find it in the parking lot.

It's not the Benz that's similar to the Honda, it's the opposite the Japanese Automakers are manufacturing certain cars with similarities to Benz. There are for example from a distance the rear taillights on certain Japanese cars have a similar design to MB's taillights.

Eh... the color's the same... at least?

Accord looks strikingly similar to the 5 series, from the pictures above. I never noticed it! Sucks for the 5-series owners.

The 05 Camry pic looks kinda similar from the back though, especially with the tail lights. Camry: the most boring (however reliable) car in the world.

Uh...NO. The new Honda Accord is funny looking at best. The C isn't. The C is actually very handsome in either Sport or Luxury trim.
