Dunno if this helps, but i did ask my friends if they preferred keeping the trim or removing it. I was debating it yesterday but my friends says to keep it. Since the windows are chromed trim, the bottom trim goes with it.... so I kept them... : )

i like a bit of chrome, gives it a lil sparkle on a nice sunny day, especially when its clean....
however it adds a lil bit of effort to keep the side of the car clean, dirt likes to hide
gotta dig it out with an edge of a microfiber or maybe soft bristle toothbrush :P

I took off all the chrome on the side and back, except the star. the day I got the car.. use dental floss or fishing line... and take your time... its easy
