Goodbye - Moved to BMW

After driving my C300 for the past 5 months I sold it and went to the BMW 335i. Was going to upgrade to the C350, but after driving the two I went with the BMW.

Even though I loved my MB, there were just a few things that apparently bothered me enough to get rid of it.

what were those few things that made you switch so soon?

i feel your pain...i did something similar a few years back - i bought a brand new acura TL...everything was great except the seats were cracking after 3 months and the AC smelled like used wet socks...so I got rid of it only after 8 months.

Congrats.....nice upgrade to the 335. As one of the previous posters said, I like BMW and Mercedes both. They both have different brand philosophies and they appeal to different crowds. Guess you were the BMW type all along!

C230 W204 2008 Canadian model (Sports package, White/Black, 7Gtronic, Sat radio)
traitor :-)

Just jokes. But I agree if I had to pick between a 335i ( BTW, I worship this e90) or a C350. It would have been a no brianer. 335i is the best PERIOD.

But the reason why I switched to a MB (first one ever) after having my 3 last car (over 11 years) of my life with BMW 3 series. 335i was out of my price range (we canadian pay 49K for a 335i here). So my choice was downgraded to a 323i. In that price zone, c230 W204 won hands down.

But I must say, I do miss the driying dynamics and feel of a BMW every now and then. Not enough for me to go trade my car though!

Best of luck

i agree that the 335 is an amazing car , power, handling and just pure driving pleasure. but I think the C is superior in terms of looks and I guess I like the brand. Call it vanity, but looks mean something to me when it comes to cars

Congratulation on your purchase... moving from one of the best small sedans to another. 335 is incredible.

I've moved the other way from E90 to C. Unlike you, I'm only getting the 4 cylinder diesel. But I won't complain.... I'm content with it!!!

Enjoy the 335, you lucky *******.

Because the coupe is attractive and the 335i sedan is one of the most plain designs BMW has ever produced (IMHO). In their effort to not offend anyone with the "Bangle styling", I think they've produced a car that's beyond "vanilla". It's the primary reason I purchased a C350 rather than the BMW. I don't like the exterior or interior styling of the BMW. The coupe is a different story though.

hm, I didn't think it was THAT bad. personally after driving a 300z for years, i've vowed to never get a couple again, unless its a 911 turbo or db9..

I do agree however that the w204 are much better looking than e90 inside/out.
Interior styling was the major reason I walked away from bmw after owning one.

i agree completely

335 coupe has an awesome look to it. this generation of 3series sedans, just dont cut it with the looks. it's funny...this is the first generation 3series i dont really like the body style and it's the first generation of C-Class that i do like the body style. MB went the right direction with this one!
