I'm not a big fan of all the chrome accouterments (headlight trim, mirror covers, etc.). I think 99% of it is really tacky. I'm kinda interested in this though. Not sure. For those that don't like all the chrome junk; what do you think about this? Hot or not?

This is not my car. My car is paladium silver.

also I wish the mesh grill wasnt plastic!
the W203 had a better quality mesh...

 

If it's metal, powdercoat it with black. Might solve the cracked grille problem.

I think this worked out because the car is silver

if it were another color for instance white, grey, and especially black
it would really make things a bit tacky.

 

Anyone know where to get those lower metal grills?

 

I agree with syrAMG. The chrome look goes with the palladium silver, but with any other darker shade of color, it looks tacky.

paint/powder coat it black or toss it. Its like the cheap chrome trim for the door handles, mirrors and lights.

 

I saw this at the dealer several weeks back. Looked awful in my opinion (it was a darker grey car), and for some reason it didn't seem to fit very well. Just my view, but it looked bad in person.

 

You can just remove and spray those parts. I don't like the chrome, but maybe if it were the same color as the car?
Ours are granite gray and paladium silver, so dunno about that. I need the grill painted first.

 

Tacky... Get a GM vehicle if you want all the 'natty' chrome...
