Last night's commute, 36 miles, was at 32.9 mpg. Tonight, same route, got me 31.7. Traffic conditions make a big difference. Tanks run to about 27-28 given the non-commute puttering about that I do. These days I'm stopping for gas about every 425 miles or so.

C300 with nearly 10K miles on it.

How fast were you driving? Ms. Daisy speed?
Traveling 75-80 mph I averaged 28 mpg and I thought that was good.

Since I quit trying to get great mileage (it's gotten better, BTW) it's gotten better results ;-(

My speeds, in traffic, ranged from city streets (7 miles, about 35 mph), and freeway (the balance, at anywhere from dead stopped to 75). I'm averaging about 47 mph or so.

Slow down, see if it gets better !

That's very good. I'm only getting an average of 31 mpg with a 320 cdi.
On a highway run, I can get a maximum of 40 mpg, only if I don't exceed 70mph.
