I need your help all -- I went to a radioshack the other day and heard fantastic canadian channels on sirius (192, 193) among 9 others!...

So, I hopped in my W203 and to my surprise, no canadian channels. I'm hearing mixed answers from customer care and others on sirius forums that range from older tuners can't handle more than X number of channels, so you don't get canadian channels, all the way to you don't live in canada so you don't get them...

Well they are listed on the US program list, so why don't we get them? Is this a newer tuner/older tuner issue? Are they blowing smoke up our ***... or to that extent, what I really want from you is:

On your new W204, do you get these channels because I will be getting one SOON!

Ok -- I found out my own answer to this question. The new sirius tuner in the W204 DOES in fact get all of the new channels that older receivers can't tune in...

Ch. 192, 193, etc :-)... w00t!

Are you saying that Canada cars with Comand and Nav don't have Sirius?
It's all part of the US Multimedia package.

No he was just wondering if New W204s were able to tun to the Canadian Specific Sirius Channels, since his old W203 could not. The answer apparently is yes.

Sirius doesnt come with the Nav option in Canada, its $600 more

OR if I got the "premium package"
it would of came with Hardon Kardon Logic 7, Sirius, rear electronic sunshade, memory seats

Whoever configured these various packages should be imprisoned. As to Sirius, that's about all I listen to now since it has no "talk radio." Well, except for Stern.

No, actually Sirius is standard in the US. No Multimedia package required.

Actually to be correct - Sirius is an option that comes with the Premium I package...

I dought without special ordering you will find one in the States without at least P1. Or at least in the NYC tri-state area this was true when I was looking for mine.

Actually in my looking I've found just as many without P1 that HAVE the P2...

It seems you are correct that the most common is the P1 package, but still - its not "standard". Can't live without it though ;-)

I can't imagine getting the nav without premium .. .why would you do that? the video alone makes you want the 7 speaker surround yada yada.

I have seen quite a few Cs at dealers that have absolutely nothing except automatic transmission and some of them metallic paint (some without that obviously).

So yeah, there are Cs out there with not even P1. It would still be a fun car to drive I'm sure.

After all, all I have is P2.
