Okay, heres the deal. I've been looking into this for a minute now. Thus far, the C63 wheel WILL fit your car as it is, the cover of your (SPORT) steering wheels is the same and airbag is attatched to your stock cover. By installing the C63 steering wheel, you will have to add your stock cover w/ existing air bag and have the dealership reset the service light for the bag. It will work after that. The issue, however, is with the paddle shifting. This is a common modification for Audi drivers in the A4 who mate a paddle shifting wheel to the already tiptronic gear box. So I figured it should be just as easy for us. Not the case. As it turns out, the hub on the W204 C Class sport and the W204 AMG model are different. Reason being because the wires that are coiled up in the hub are much longer on AMG version than the Sport. The specific wiring necessary in the W204 AMG hub is what allows you to mate the paddles to the transmission. It has also been confirmed for me that the AMG hub will NOT fit the W204 sport. However, there still may be a way around this which I am in the process of figuring out. I'll keep you guys posted as I receive new information. I'm currently talking to MKB who has a steering wheel available with paddle shifting for our cars but I would rather find out how they did it and use the AMG wheel to complete the look. If you are itching for a C63 wheel though and you are okay with having dummy paddles then by all means buy the wheel and have it installed. I just couldn't do it knowing those paddles don't work, call me crazy but I like what I like. I'm sure I'll have it done soon enough.
ALSO!! I talked to MB corp. which is a town away from me in regards to the warranty situation for installing a C63 wheel with paddle shifting. The wheel itself is okay but if you try to make the paddles work the transmission warranty and other electronic components are void.
And even more info because I'm just that ****in crazy, the MKB wheel with paddle shifting for our cars is a little over 3 grand. No pictures yet but if you can't live without paddle shifting right now that is your ticket.
