i know its cheesy but what about wrapping a grill in carbon fiber vinyl the way people have done their grills in black...?

I was actually thinking the same as a stop gap till the CF one is available. And there are a number of different mock CF out there from fake from 20ft to I can barely tell within 10 in. Since we are talking custom CF how about the fog light surrounds? Maybe some of the chrome head and tail light trim could be used as molds for CF ones? Those would look great I think.

I am pretty sure that everyone has seen this Carlsson lip but here is a picture of it. I am planning to purchase one and maybe make a duplicate in CF. I know a guy who owns cf factory who makes anything out of cf
If I can get my hands on the C63 diffuser, I can make them in CF easily. Plan to go with CF all the way on the exterior mods.

I saw it from the carlsson site for japs. Since its closer to me. I believe it ran somewhere around 1200 USD. www.carlsson.co.jp take out two zeros from the yen and you get ball park figure of USD.
About the CF stickers, don't do it, it's for hondas. Go real cf or don't touch it.

well I got the idea of them being a lip, since on the translation of the lists on the site, it clearly says front lip spoiler. Maybe they molded to the bumper? It is quite pricey, but check out Mansory parts for some Bentleys and Aston Martins its outrageous. If I remember correctly, side skirts on a Vanquish were around 10000 USD.

haha Monopoly sounds great. Even though, I wouldn't try to make money doing this, I am a car guy just like all of us here, and I don't mind helping someone else who has same interest as I do. BTW, i plan to make quite bit of stuff in Carbon just to stand out from the norm. When I do so, I'll have to make molds, so you know what I mean, if anything I can pop more with the mold.

I would personally enjoy oa brushed allunimum grill without an emblem. That would just be so original. Could be a new triend. Not chrome not cf but brushed heavy duty thick solid alluminum. just three blades no emblem like the brabus grill. MMMM> nice. Not painted.

That should be pretty easy to have made. There is a shop by me that makes grills from billit aluminum.

I will keep you guys posted. I ordered C63 rear diffuser, which I will be making them in CF. If there are many interests, I guess I can make some more. As far as the front lip goes, I will have to order it after my paycheck, I just purchased some temporary wheels. nothing fancy, they are sport package amg wheels. stock 17s just SUCK!!!
Throw out some ideas, and lets see if I can make them.

great ideas guys, though interior pieces would be easier to overlay ontop of plastic since there are too many tabs to make, and if not made correctly, they will pop out too easy. I will take mine apart and see how they are on there.
trial0r, I guess we are on the same page as we speak. those chrome bits are in plan also. maybe just for me just playing, if they are not complicated, no problem making them.
I can't wait till the diffuser come in so I can start the work. Should I make the regular c300/350 plastic piece in carbon? Nah..... I think ill just stick with c63 diffuser.
btw, I took apart CL63 interior to chage it to pianoblack, and its easy but a hassle. pianoblack is sooo nice imo, classy while staying nice and clean. Sometimes, carbon looks ghetto when its inside of the car. Especially the ones I've seen in this full kleemann vehicle with silver carbon interior
Best carbon interior i've seen are, Enzo, CLK DTM(seems like dry carbon for this one)

who makes roof spoiler? can you link me?
nay on the tail and head trims, as they are too thin and can warp easily while heat treating and i would hate to make cheapo pieces, plus cf arent really flexible.
side molding? do you mean the lower molding that goes from the front door to the rear?
Lastly, $1................................................ ........................

Neal told me that their carbon fiber rear diffuser is going to look more black series-ish than the stock C63 diffuser. I'm not sure I want a car with under 230 hp to have a black series looking anything on it, ya know?

Do the C63 only in carbon. IMO. Let me know if you end up doing it, I would 100% buy one off you.

Glad there are people who are interested in my progress. I am sure there are big companies in process of building these also. my major goal on this product would be the factory like quality, anything less is not accepted. Also black series diffuser is pure sex however, i believe that it would not flow well with the sedan bodies, ie our C class. I believe if AMG wanted the C63 to look more race like and gangster like, they would have easily made the black series style to fit on c63. Yet they went with subtle diffuser. All in all, its up to the owner of the car, everyone's taste is different.
we are going way off topic, we should make another thread just about things to make in carbon. Actually, I rather not, since I don't want everyone to get their hopes up while im in progress. I will start a thread when the time is right. Just hold on tight, because I am thinking of two diffrent types of the diffuser, cheaper version and the baller status version
