One thing about the G35/37 for me:
When they came out, I thought they were fantastic. However, they don't look much different all these years later, do they?
I still respect them, but I just got a bit tired of the look by now.

I own a 2004 FX35 and just bought a C350. I didn't test drive the G37 since I didn't want 2 Infinitis. But I bet it is a great vehicle and worthy of your consideration. I'm a gadget nut and wonder how the bluetooth, NAV and voice commands (say a street name, phone book presentation, etc) compare between the 2 cars. Anybody know?

One thing to consider if the resale value also. Infiniti is the resale champ right now. The current C-Class has yet to prove what type of value it will have because it hasn't been on long enough. Then again, depreciation has always been one of Mercedes' enemies.
So, if you change cars often, I'd say get the Infiniti...just don't compare the Benz sedan to the Infiniti coupe. It's not a fair fight.

As for the question about voice commands, you can use the dash controls or the steering wheel buttons for voice control.
I just push the button and say the address i want to go too and it will start the map. Same for phone and if you have the earlier models it works for the climate control too. The later or newer G37S dont have the voice control for climate,,..so some will try to take it in and say something is acting up and ask for the previous version nav system. I am having trouble finding enough cd's to load into the hardrive because it holds obo 500 cd's. I guess as far as looks it is all relative go test drive them back to back. Personally after having the clk430 there was no way I wanted a C350 I just didnt like the way it looked and I really like the G37S mine is Amethyst graphite but I also know some don't like the look of the G37 so do what is best for you but indeed drive them back to back.
