Seems to be a universal rule, but I understand you annoyance. First time I leased a car I was 18 and and no questions asked on a Mini cooper! But that was yonks ago in the UK. Nowadays the 25 yrs old deal seems set in concrete.

BTW, Enterprise aren't Mercedes. If you already have an MB, why do you want to rent one?

That is just life. You are actually lucky they gave you the loaners because I know of some that get denied. There are a few rental agencies that don't have that rule or allow you to place a deposit in lue of it.

Yes, unfortunately there is nothing you can do about this. Its one of those things you have to go through in life. At 21 you can drink, at 25 you get to rent cars AND have a big discount on car insurance, and then... um.... hmm...

I suppose you have 65 for senior citizen discounts? Seems like an unfair gap in age-related rewards there. I say we make a few more perks along the way ;-)

Here in Seattle, Enterprise has a small fleet of 2007 C230 Sport sedans for dealer service customers. Usually paid for by the dealer, at least for good customers

I have never paid for a rental car when my MB is in for service.

Yes, GM has the same deal with Enterprise in Toronto (well mine did) But I didn't pay for the one time I needed it, either. Audi charged me $10/day for a Golf - and I needed that a few times! But if you want a regular rental it's Enterprise that sets the rules, not MB.

Consider yourself lucky -- my last dealer with VW wouldn't give me a lender because I wasn't of "age".
