I recently got a quote on a '09 C300 sport. I think I got a ridiculous deal... and I wanted to bounce it off of a few other owners. It ok to talk about what we paid? If so, let me know!

Although 1 day after I agreed on that price, another MB dealer called and when I told her I already agreed with another dealership, she asked how much I paid for it. Told her 500 above invoice and she said she could have beat that and would have offered it to me for invoice. Don't know if she was just being a spoil sport or if she really would have offered that to me. Oh well.

You know what it boils down to -- you can go dealership to dealership haggling pricing back and forth all you like and still fear that you may have been able to do better. As long as your happy with what you paid, then its a win win situation. You got a great car and were happy about your special final price - so do as I do, don't look back and just enjoy the ride!

Exactly! I always feel like I get screwed buying cars no matter the research and haggling but as you say get over it and move on.

I bought from MB Walnut Creek up here in East Bay. I still go back and forth between norcal and socal so I was also talking to MB Newport Beach. It was the Newport Beach dealership that said she could get me invoice. This was working off the Costco discount plan initially.

These cars aren't selling like they used to and the deals will just keep getting better. My dealership currently has 19 2008 C300's still on the lot. With such little differences between the U.S. spec 09 and 08, you might be better served to get a left over, they will really be dealing once the 09's start rolling onto the lots.

I am on the east coast. there are only a few C300 sports availible in manual. most of them didnt have the options i wanted. thats why i had to order an '09
I kinda did something stupid. i trusted the invoice on edmunds.com... i think if anything, that price would be more then what the dealer really pays, after options...

Ah you wanted a manual, yeah those are hard to come by for the simple reason they don't sell very well. There is a slim chance your dealership could trade for one that another dealer has, but as I mentioned they are few and far between. As far as invoice pricing I don't think any websites have listings for the 09 model year yet and I wouldn't be surprised if theres yet another price increase from 2008 to 2009.

I was assured that the price increase wouldnt be to much... and my securety deposit is 100% refundable... i know they wont let me go easy though.

The dealer is giving me 10% off of MSRP, and if i use '08 prices. i am well below the edmunds invoice... and that seems kinda odd. especially for a merc.

it was between the steel grey metalic paint or the pano-roof... i picked the paint. i don't care to much for leather. but when i felt their plether err, i mean MBTex, it did feel a little weird... not very much like leather at all. If i could have cloth, i would.
