Official Part Numbers Thread
Every online Mercedes parts dealer has the same problem with their software. Click on "propeller shaft" and it shows you the differential. So, no way to look up the part number.
i have a 2012 W204, Wagon, RHD, here in the U.K. I need a new HP AC pipe, the one from the condenser to the expansion valve.
I bought A2048304415 but it’s the wrong one.
the VIN is WDD2042022F822754. Does anybody know the correct part no. please?

Hi, I managed to get the required pipe with the invaluable help provided by chipset, but now I’m looking for the AC compressor. Do you know the part number for this part please?
The car is a 2012 W204, Wagon, RHD, here in the U.K. and the VIN is WDD2042022F822754.

FYI the oil should be pumped out through the dipstick from M272 and M276 engines. It should only be drained from the drain plug when replacing the oil pan.
The reason is because the drain plug is painted over when the pan is painted with corrosion inhibiting paint. Removing the drain plug breaks the seal and can cause the pan to rust prematurely around the drain plug. This all depends on environmental conditions and some owners routinely drain oil this way without issue.
Use a knife to score the paint around the drain plug if removing it for the first time with the intention of reinstalling it.

I'm not the original owner and the car is 11 years old so who knows how the oil was drained over the years, but anyhow, I've done countless oil changes over decades and thought the W204 was no different. The two YouTube videos for DIY of the W204 showed them changing oil via the drain plug (not via oil extractor) so I went at it. It wasn't until I removed the plug that I noticed a copper crush washer. Whoops, too late to undo it.
I didn't notice any broken "sealant" around the plug, nor evidence of flaking coating, so it appears the plug had been removed in the past before I got to it.
Getting an oil extractor has been on my shopping list for eons now but this gave me an excuse to finally get one so I'll be ready for the next oil change.... which actually will be the traditional means since I have to remove the drain plug to install the new crush washer.

I have to ensure I get an OEM Mercedes-Benz part, otherwise I'll spend more to getting it separately...
