Agree! My wife is from Europe and when we go to visit people are all about clothes with bold designer labeling, etc. especially the new generation.

Expensive cars and houses are no different than here to stand out as well. Many towns are very poor and modest but you'll have those abnormally big villas and high end cars to show how much money you have.
