Ok, I've got a question. This iphone cradle/integration kit looks nice and all, but I don't want to lose my ipod integration kit functionality to do it.
All I really want is a cradle to hold/charge my iphone in the car -- perhaps a second glovebox cradle next to my ipod one with a power adapter/dock connector to plug into the iphone? That would be awesome. Any thoughts from anyone - or does anyone know of a company selling a small felt cradle like Mercedes' ipod one that I can velcro down next to it in my glovebox? :-)
- Eric
....or heck, anyone think maybe the iphone kit can just be used for charging/holding the phone instead of fully integrating the phone?

This is a bulletin from the Australian MB division - I'd assume this may be the same in the US of A - but worth checking out.
With the Apple iPod phone going on sale last week on July 11th we have received a number of enquiries regarding compatibility and matching phone cradles.
Apple iPhone Cradle
Please note that the iPod phone cradle part number A 204 820 2351 is not compatible with the Apple iPhone G3 as it has been designed for the European G2.5 and not our Australian G3 network.
Apple iPhone & Bluetooth
Any vehicle that has bluetooth compatibility i.e. NTG 2.5 and code 518 for MICC can be paired with the Apple iPhone G3 as the MICC cable plugs into the phone for charging and music selection and the phone function can be activated via bluetooth through the head unit. For W204 (NTG4) the Apple iPhone G3 phone can still be paired up with bluetooth but there is no charge function or on board aerial (as the vehicle does not have code 518). For all other platforms only the HFP bluetooth cradle will work to pair up the phone, again there is no charge function or on board aerial.
