I've noticed that with the hill assist in action, the brake pedal becomes stiff and firm, almost unmovable. I dunno how much of an incline is required, but in normal driving conditions (flat surface), I've never experienced the same.
Just to be clear, im not calling You an Idiot, im talking about people in general who might roll into a parked car at an intersection.

Ya...You dont need hill start for down hill, You have your front brakes for that. the point of hill start is so your car doesnt roll into the car behind you. If you roll into the car infront of you, ( sorry to say ) but you have to be a real Idiot. When the light goes green the car in front will move and you can release your brake and your car can roll without hitting anything, hense NO need for down hill start assist.

Here's one for you. While listening to a cd, the music register or satelite radio, we all know that sometimes you can't read the full title of the song playing. Just press the # button on the dash and you will see the full title and the artist.
Also, the hill assist, on auto cars, works on both modes: Sport and Comfort.
How did you stumble upon this? Is it in the manual?
You beat me to it! I found this out by accident a few months ago, but I figured that it was something in the manual that I missed reading. Good looking out.
HAHA YES!!!! i stumbled on this one accidentally when i was going through presets and mis-hit the # key!
I use this all the time, its great!! The lane change blinker is cool too.
If you don't mind me asking, what is the AUX jack for?? It seems you were very excited about this.
I literally stumbled across this when I hit the wrong button. It is very cool. I don't know why it is not in the manual.
These are great finds ... I echo everyone's comments re the # ... awesome!
I also noticed today that the window buttons are placed so close together on the driver's door that with one touch to the centre of the 2 buttons (where L and R meet) you can put both driver's and passenger's side window's down. Works with rear windows as well.
Not a techie find, but usefull.
