Nice, I bought my CF trunk spoiler from him and it is great he is also a good seller shipped quick and packed well. I'm going to wait about a month and I bet the price will drop a little by then.

Sorry just checked I bought something else from him not the trunk spoiler.

Is it actual carbon fiber or is it just a look alike? Do you guys think this would look good on my car since I have the CF spoiler?

Regards,

Daniel

Mind if I ask a silly question? Whats so big about carbon fiber? Especially when it isn't replacing trim but merely stuck on with 3M adhesive tape?

It looks hot haha. Normally its like gold in the car world because it looks sexy but also is alot lighter than the part it's usually replacing. In this case it is just being added on, so is mainly for looks and not weight reduction.

Interesting -- and here I was loading up trunks of trees into my car for aesthetics ;-). To each his own I suppose.

hmm, I'm not sure, you got a black ride so this will stand out but it'll also make the overall "black" look kinda off. I'm more interested in the subtle look and if it gets in the way, might as well just leave it...

now that being said, I think that will look pretty decent on my Grey...lol

I think it looks nice and sets your car off from the norm. I'm already going to be getting CF lip and diffuser so just wanted some accents for the side. I'm probably still going to get CF mirrors, but it's such a small bit on the largest profile side. My car is white and I'm toying with the idea of replacing what little black exteriors parts I have with CF to accent the car. Of course, to really pull that off, I'd probably have to order 360 Forged CF wheels to match :p Regardless, I've ordered the pillar and I'll try it on. If it looks good, I'll keep it on, and if not, well, it was only like $125.

This will be a nice add-on in a few years when those shinny black panels start to oxidize from being baked in the sun. My '04 Endeavor is already suffering badly on the drivers side. Seems I always park with the drivers side facing the sun?!

I'm with you on that one. My looking to add more wood trim in my car. Gives it more of a luxury rather than sporty feel.

To each their own. That's why Mercedes offered us the Sport and Luxury models as options. I see the appeal in wood trim, but I'm going for a sportier look for my car. Both are good.

Yea, I love the wood trim, but I couldn't go without the star grille in the front of the sport model, it looks so sexy haha

I think sticking that on would make the car look cheap. It already has black moldings around the windows, and that piece would be off color which sticks out. Just my opinion, but I do love CF on cars.

Yeah, that's what I was worried about. It might look good, but might not. Either way, it wasn't that expensive so figured might as well give it a shot. If it doesn't look good, I can always just not install it or remove it.

The primary goal of the CF plan on my car is to "accent and not distract". I'm starting to think this pillar mod might fall into the distract category. We'll see.

My thoughts exactly. I'm tellin ya. We're twins.

I personally think CF should only be added in inconspicuous places where it might not be readily noticeable. Too much CF trim all over the place cheapens the look, I think, unless there are other strategically placed pieces elsewhere on the car.

On black or darker colored cars it's a little different, but on my Arctic White, I'm gonna try to limit the CF trim to just a few places. I don't want the "trim" to be the centerpieces.

Again, where the hell is Euroteck with their lip and diffuser?????????????????????????????????????????? I keep checking their website for the release.

Lip and diffuser end of july. You still got another month :p

Yeah, I'm starting to second guess myself on the pillar idea. I kinda talked myself long enough to hit the "buy" button that it would be fairly subtle since the whole top portion of the profile is black cause I'm probably going to go either limo or 20% tint. I used the same argument for the CF mirrors but haven't executed on that yet. Might be a bit overboard, but I bought the CF mirror overlays so I can test out the look on my car before I commit the $3-400 for the Brabus ones.

Haha Refresh, refresh! I know I can't wait for the lip and CF diffuser. Mainly the front CF lip.

Looks like a new seller has popped up for the pillars

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MERCE...spagenameZWDVW

Pictures of the same car so wondering if these are just distributors and the makers sent them the same stock photos. This guy is slightly cheaper. Also, he specified that these are real carbon fiber.

I saw some CF pillar covers on a Volvo C30 today at the dealership. They were stick-ons. They looked okay on that car. Not sure I'd do it on a W204.

Yeah, I've seen it look good on some cars and not so much on others...Problem with this being such a new option is I don't have any pics for me to judge so I guess I'll be the guinea pig. At least this isn't a permanent mod. I can just kinda temporarily put it up and take pics and see how it looks. My mind's eye questions if this is a good idea, but won't know for sure till I see it on my car. I guess I can always tell myself I'm helping my native country's economy
