Rear Bumper scratches

I visit the city often and street parking is a must. It never fails the car behind me touches my rear bumper and the license plate screws or frames scratch my bumper. Any preventive applications for this that would look good?>

Isn't that called a hit and run technically, since they hit your car and don't leave there info when technically it's an "accident". lol

I'd go ape$ht on whoever park on the streets and touches my bumper. I'd make them pay for years through insurance.

I always hate this. Idiot people who don't know how to parallel park. I'm so paranoid now that I refuse to parallel park anywhere where the fit is tight, even though I know I can fit in just fine. I toyed with the idea of taking a towel and fixing some nail spikes on it and have it hanging off my closed trunk door with spikes lining my bumper. Then I realized I'd probably get sued. Maybe some other less dangerous attachment would be better.... Or maybe people just need to learn how to parallel park

get the bumper guards. I live in NYC and two weeks after i got the car there was a nice little nick on the back bumper. Now i have the rubber bumper guard that hangs out of my trunk and then just goes into my trunk when i leave. WORKS WONDERS!

I've seen those while travelling in NYC/Boston. Looked pretty useful. But what about the front? However shall we protect the front, which is more important IMO?

I've seen retards go front and back -- bump, bump, bump, bump -- while trying to park. I always try to avoid parallel parking if at all possible.

The front lic plate protects the bumper and paint, I don't have that problem in front.

Angry

Just happened to me today! The license plate bolts from some POS punctured 2 holes in rear bumper and left several scratches. I'm so pissed right now!!! Just washed the car yesterday too. The messed up part is I can see my car from my cubicle. Just missed the b@stard that did it.

Actually, the term marker is correct. Mercedes touch up paint as well as a number of other manfacturers including VW/Audi come in an easy to use marker. It makes touch ups simpler than a brush.
