I did have a "good" set and a "cheap" set of caps. I forgot to take off the good caps after a return from a trip. They were gone in less than 24 hours.

I thought M-B offered 6MT, 6AT, and 7-G AT? No?
If and when I do get another set of nice caps, I plan on putting them on only when I can maintain full view of the car. Meets etc.

Just checked the MBUSA website. All the automatics for the C Class are seven speed. If my feeble brain remembers correctly, the 7 speed automatic might have been an option on the prior generation C Class.
