Valve Stems
Who has purchased MB valve stem caps? I lost one of the cheapos and am strongly considering buying the logo ones. Thoughts?

I had some of my 3 series BMW and surprising, they never got stolen (I expected them to be gone everyday, too). They appear to be only $15/set at the dealer, but I'd need to find out what the deal is with the tire pressure system, otherwise I'd order them from ebay.

They get stolen. Personal experience. Went back to cheapos.
Side note: A homie transferred back to the Bay after working in Boston for a year. Went out to a bar in the City, and when I came home, I found out that some stupid #^$%^#$%^#$%^ had thrown an egg on my fender. I had murderous feelings for a bit while I was cleaning it up. Thankfully, my Meguiar's quick detailing spray dissolved the dried up egg shat well, but now I have a nice set of 4 chips from the egg shells' breaking. Happy happy joy joy!
Why do idiots steal my valve stems? I would imagine that M-B owners can afford their own stems, so only non-MB owners could be the culprits. Why do they need 'em? And why do fools throw eggs at strangers' cars? Jealousy doesn't explain it. Conclusion: I hate people.
Sorry bout the off-topic-ness. Venting was necessary.

buy 2 sets. that way you're covered if they're stolen
I'm probably gonna have a set of cheapos and the nice ones. Cheapos for everyday, nice ones for going to meets to show off.

The proper term, I guess, would be valve stem "caps." It's the little plastic cap that you screw on/off when you put air into your tires. M-B or AMG stem caps have the logos printed on em. The stockies are beautiful, beautiful gray plastics with no marking whatsoever. eBay will show you the way.

I have a set like the AMG ones pictured above but blck with the silver star. As has been said everyday I expect them to be gone but they are still here and look good.

There are 2 different kinds of caps. One is plastic and the other is solid brass. I bought the second pair (brass) because I was worried about the chrome on the plastic flaking. Dealerships usually carry both and like to give the plastic ones.

And stay out of the city. Nothing but trouble there!
I'm so impatient...I went to the dealer on the way home and picked up a set. They are definitely the nice ones with a little weight on them. When I took off the old ones, I could feel the el cheapo difference immediately. I got the silver ones that kind of blend in with the rims. Hopefully, they'll stay where they are...
And yes, they are called valve stem caps.

Or you can get custom wheels that have the tpms sensor on the inside of the hoop and a second stem flush mounted so you dont need to worry about anything... Just a suggestion.

Best you call them first to make sure they have them in stock; otherwise they will have to special order them from the parts warehouse.I've got both the AMG and MB ones.

This was the first time out in the City in just about 3 months. Mad drama there when younger, night after night. Oowee.
