W204 Roof spoiler
Makes me want to reconsider for only $100 more...
Would just have to paint it, which I could easily do myself...

Anyway, as a nit-picker I'm just giving my 2 cents. From 2+ feet away a MB enthusiast wouldn't see any of the things that I mentioned - and from .5 feet away, a regular person wouldn't see any of the things I mentioned, but I know in my heart that the product isn't to my standards which eats away at me. Especially since my neighbor has a c350 with an OEM spoiler that I have to look at multiple times everyday

It's not like a big front or rear pumper that the fitment can be tricky. I am sure most of the members here have bought aftermarket trunk spoiler. If they are bad quality, how do those sellers stay in business? Like I said, nothing is perfect. even with OEM part, there can be defect sometime. My authentic Brabus front bumper for the W211 is a perfect example. spent more than $2000 for that thing, but still need a little modification to make it fit.
regarding the price for OEM. If it's $300 for a painted, installed spoiler, I might have considered it. But, $300 is for just the part. You will need to pay for painting and tax, which can easily push it to $400 -500.
That's why I decided to go for $180 replica. I have bought 2 replica spoilers before. they were both ok.

Now we have to wait what we get.... lett's try to stay a bit positive, may B MB horseshoe had bad luck ??

mb_horseshoe could you produce pictures of the bad spoiler like I did for my diffuser?

Just wait patiently for the parts. no reason to worry now. You already put down deposit (at least). Wait till you get the part. If you like it, perfect. you save a lot of $ from buying OEM. If not (not because you don't like the style, but because there is defect/problem with the part), then return and get a full refund. You only wasted the time WAITING for it. That's all. for $200 to 300 saving, I think it's worth a try.
I think it's natural for people to want to post negative things about something. It's ok and I am thankful to them for wanting to warn us. But you guys should ask around, ask people on the forum who has purchased aftermarket spoilers for their opinon. I bet most of them will tell you that they are happy with their purchase.
so, just relax.

Anyways just a tip but if you plan on having your windows tinted its smart that you do it first before applying the roof spoiler.

I am not sure about the unpainted price. Maybe $150?
I am from Taiwan. I know the paint job is cheap (not as low quality) due to low labor cost.
