to clarify: are you saying that you can't purchase an aftermarket alarm system because your car has keyless-go, or that you are trying to purchase an aftermarket "auto-start" ? (i have no idea what "auto-start" is)

auto-start is the push button start on the keychain...guy had told me it wasnt possible to install due to the infared key i believe....has neone installed an aftermarket alarm system on the C? with or without the autostart.....

Your car already has an alarm. IMO the auto start is a bogus feature anyway. I just express open the windows before I get in and when I feel the cool coming out I close it up. Which is usually only 15 seconds or so....

It can't be done. The car needs to read the IR code from the key to start. So unless you leave the key in the ignition, this won't work. But that give's you another problem, the car won't lock with the key in the ignition. Technically it's not possible. I came up with a solution though... 
Get one of your friends to go and get in your car before you do... About 30 sec or so prior. Then, when you walk towards the car, just give them a thumbs up and they can start the car for you! Simple as that. And all it costs is you buddy's dignity!
